Call for papers for presentation in the 7th Annual Higher Education Conference, the 3rd NCHE Regional Conference

National Council for Higher Education is pleased to announce a call for papers for presentation in the 7th Annual Higher Education Conference, the 3rd NCHE Regional Conference to be held in Gulu City.

Theme: Harnessing Innovation in Higher Education for Accelerated Economic Transformation.

The successful submissions vetted through our criteria will be published in the forthcoming edition of the Uganda Higher Education Review Journal, Volume 13, Issue 2, 2026. The journal holds ISSN 1813-2243 (in print), 2958-5473 (electronic), and a DOI 10.58653.

Research areas of focus in this volume. .13, issue 2, 2026, include the following;

• Adoption of Competence-Based Curricula and Innovative Pedagogical Reforms for the Transformation of Higher Education.
• Fostering Innovations, Entrepreneurship, and Start-Up Ecosystems in Higher Education.
• Strengthening University-Industry Linkages and Knowledge Transfer.
• Transformative Research and Innovation in STEM for National Research and Development.

Abstract and Paper Submission

All papers submitted will be peer-reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research depth, accuracy and relevance to the focus areas

• Submitted abstracts to be evaluated by the Journal Editorial Committee.
• If an abstract is accepted, the author will be requested to submit the full paper.
• All submissions should report original and previously unpublished research results, no matter the type of research paper you are presenting.
• All manuscripts will be subjected to double-blind peer review and are expected to meet scientific criteria for novelty and academic excellence.
• The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that the article’s publication has been approved by all other co-authors and takes responsibility for the paper during submission and peer review.
• The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.
